Corporate Affiliates
Become a Corporate AffiliateWe would like to invite you to become a corporate affiliate of the 30th annual Frontiers in Education 2000 Conference, October 18-21, 2000 in Kansas City. FIE2000 continues a 29-year tradition of widespread dissemination of innovations in engineering and computer engineering education. The theme of the 2000 conference is Building on a Century of Progress in Engineering Education. The conference is sponsored by the Educational Research and Methods(ERM) Division of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), the Computer and Education Societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the University of Kansas. This conference is one of the most important national conferences totally devoted to improvements in engineering education. Over the past four year, this conference has grown from an average of 200 attendees to include over 600 attendees covering all areas of the education process. Along with the tremendous growth of the conference has come an increase in the attention given to diversity-related issues. In today's environment, all employees feel the pressure of technology-driven change, perhaps none more so than engineers. Both businesses and educational institutions play major roles in providing the path and resources for professional work force development. Your participation and support of FIE as a forum for this dialogue can be an effective and meaningful contribution to enable employees in making these crucial life transitions. Typical financial support for the Conference has ranged from $1,000 to $10,000. If your organization cannot afford full support, we would welcome any support, be it financial or otherwise. Affiliation moneys in the past have funded give-away items (with company logos), audio/visual equipment rental, and conference events such as plenary speakers, breaks, lunches, or receptions. Appropriate recognition will be given including your logo on our web site, in conference publications, and signage at the conference. Also, affiliates will be recognized at the event and may be invited to address the attendees (depending on the purpose of the event). In addition to the participation and communication advantages listed above, affiliation also helps keep registration costs for attendees low and enables further growth of the FIE conference. To become an affiliate and/or inquire about additional opportunities, simply mail, e-mail or call Jim Roberts, Conference Chair. He can be reached at: Jim Roberts,
